Wildlife Habitat at Flamingo Hotel
Another free attraction in Las Vegas is the Wildlife Habitat located at Flamingo hotel-casino near the intersection of Flamingo Road with the Strip. The hotel-casino is home to a flock of live Chilean Flamingos and some other “feathered” friends, all fascinating the tourists and populating the Wildlife Habitat.
The Wildlife Habitat is home to more than 300 birds and beside flamingos you will find African penguins, turtles, Impeyn, Gambel’s quail, swans, Koi, Crown crane, ibis, silver pheasants, parrots and ducks. Together with the islands and streams, the habitat feels like a tropical oasis. There are magnolia, pines and palms, streams, lagoons, waterfalls and pools. Visitors can stroll along the walkways and admire the beautiful sceneries or can sit on a bench to relax and admire the views.
The habitat is open 24/7 but if you want to see the penguins being fed, be sure to visit it at 8:30 a.m. or 3 p.m.
