The Neon Museum Las Vegas

Hours of operation: 24 hours/day for the outdoor walking tour, while the Neon Boneyard is only available by appointment only (Tuesday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Tickets: free for the outdoor walking tour, while for special tours in the Neon Boneyard a fee of $5.00 per person is paid.
The face of the city changes so often and all that is left is a neon sign. The Neon Museum is located at Freemont Street Experience and is an outdoor walking tour. Its purpose is to preserve the city’s history.
The signs have both a historical and cultural value. They are considered incredible works of art. If you are seeing the signs for the first time it can be a very interesting attraction.
The museum officially opened in 1996 when the Hacienda Horse and Rider sign was installed at the intersection of Fremont Street Experience and Las Vegas Boulevard. The sign was created in 1967 for Hacienda Hotel where now stands Mandalay Bay resort.
“Andy Anderson”, the Flame Restaurant sign as well as Aladdin’s genie lamp also became part of the museum. The Chief Hotel Court sign is one of the oldest signs in the museum. It dates from 1940 and was located at a hotel on East Fremont Street.
The Neon Boneyard comprises non-restored historic signs exit. Most of the signs originate from Young Electric Sign Company. The entrance fee is $5.00/person for groups of 10 or more or a minimum $50.00 donation for smaller groups.
